Nockamixon Sail Club is the Home of Sailors and Sailing at the beautiful 1450-acre lake within the Nockamixon State Park in Bucks County, PA. The Park has a Marina with docks for boats up to 24 ft and a dry storage area for boats on trailers. The Nockamixon Sail Club was established in 1974, shortly after the Lake was filled, to organize activities for sailing at the Lake. The Club serves both Racing and Cruising sailors with a full calendar of events from April to November each year. Racing includes one-design and Portsmouth handicap competitions.  Our fleets include: the Catalina 22, Chesapeake Bay Cruisers, Com-Pac, Flying Scot, Hunter, Impulse 21, Mariner, O'DayPrecision, Thistle and Victoria.

Commodore's Message

As I type this, we are currently weathering probably the worst storm we've had in at least 15 years. Up here in Souderton, it keeps blowing and keeps snowing. I've already been out to visit the boats behind the garage and they really seemed fine, but I'd like to think they weren't happy. But never fear, we have held a Fleet Council meeting already, and we've started to plan the upcoming 2016 season. Thanks to the good work of outgoing Commodore Greg Morrison, the club is in fine condition for a new summer of sailng. Our co-Vice Commodores Marsha and Laurine are hard at work on the Spring Warmup to kick things off. Keep your eyes open for details. And, as alwasy, don't forget that renewal memberships should be sent in before March. We're always looking for people who love to sail (and new friends) -- please contact us or download our APPLICATION FORM (a PDF file), fill it out, and mail to the address indicated. We'll be happy to arrange a tour of the lake and facilities, provide some basic instruction, and flood you with loads of free advice!  By the way, we do not provide sailing lessons nor does the club rent boats but members participating in the skills learning events will enhance their level of sailing competence.
