Continuation of "Suo Gan" Our 1983 ComPac 19 - Gil & Carole
When we bought this boat it had many years and layers of flaked bottom paint on its hull. I had the bottom completely re done last year. Although I really like Aquagard water based bottom paint, the yard that did my work last Spring prefers Interlux products. So, they stripped the hull bottom down to bare fiberglass, put on several layers of Interlux barrier coat and then a few coats of Interlux bottom paint. Suo Gan spent over five months in the lake last summer and came out clean! Literally not even a "scum line". No Brynzoan either, except on the HDPE foiled rudder.
"Suo Gan" - Our 1983 Com Pac 19 - Gil & Carole
I am starting a blog about our CP19. Carole and I just completed our second season sailing this wonderful boat. After deciding to move up from our 1990 CP16, we found this striking looking black hull boat at a marina in Toms River, NJ. We had a trailer built for it and brought it back to Pennsylvania in May of 2008. I have made improvements and adjustments to this craft and we really like its comfort, stability and size.
