Flying Scot Trailex Trailer Tail Light

A couple of weeks ago the right side tail light for my Flying Scot Trailex trailer was inadvertently smashed.

The lights still worked but the enclosure was unusable.

I called Flying Scot and they would only sell the entire light assembly not just the enclosure.  They wanted ~$30 which is a fair price for the assembly.

Looking closely at the enclosure I could see it was made by Sierra Products.  Sure enough I found it on the web at http://www.esierra.us/Qstore/Qstore.cgi?CMD=011&PROD=1025025963 for $10 plus shipping.

Glenn's Blog: A New Flying Scot? Part 2 - Where to begin?

In my first installment I discussed the decision to buy a new Flying Scot.  Here I discuss beginning the process of actually placing the order.

I started by checking out the Flying Scot Inc. web site.  I knew I was interested in the Radical Racing Package since it included most of what I want.  Here is the actual ordering form.  It includes:

As many of you know Dorothy and I are considering ordering a new Flying Scot.  I plan to use this blog to chronicle the process and thinking.  Let me know if you find it interesting.

The first question is: In this economy, are you nuts?
