Membership Application for 2012
George,
Thank you for the input. We will certainly work to clear up any confusion. I hope all members understand the use of Club contact information outside the club is not permitted. In the mean time, we will accept either the application form published in The Compass or the one posted here along with member dues for this coming sailing season.
The form posted here is not the form used for 2012 applications to-date. Since there is a significant change in the wording of this form; I believe it is entirely inappropriate to change midyear. Members who signed up in a timely fashion have an entirely different view of what their privacy rights and obligations are.
I believe there is significant exposure should a member who signed up early inadvertently, or overtly, breach the the privacy of those that will use the form presented here.
The format discussed by the Admiralty and at the January FC meeting was intended for use in 2013.
