The race has been moved again. This time to Saturday at 10am. Meet at Dock A.
Ok Ladies let’s try this one my time! Due to the very high winds this past Sunday, the ladies decided to cancel the race and try again this Saturday. This Saturday we will have a skipper’s meeting at 10:00 am at A Dock (optional) to register your sailboat, skipper and crew with the Racing Fleet Saturday Fun Race skipper’s meeting. We will meet on the water by the Race Committee Boat before 11:00am. The Race Committee boat (or Craig Tourtellott) will place a Red Mark by the dam spill way….not too close please! The Race Committee boat will let us know the start time and signal the start of the Ladies Dam Race by blowing the horn. Once you cross the start line head toward the dam entrance, (watch out for Thompson point) once you see the Red Mark, approach the mark on the starboard side, round the mark and return to the Race Committee boat and cross the finish line. If the Racing Fleet is up to the challenge of the tricky dam wind channel they are welcome to race the same course with us as their Fun Saturday Race Regatta!! J Sorry only the Ladies skippers can win the trophy! The Ladies Dam Race will be Portsmouth rated. The weekend forecast so far is sunny all weekend; let’s hope the winds are not as wild as this past Sunday! Good Luck Ladies!
Please send me an RSVP to
dianejpaxton@yahoo.com if you will be able to attend the Ladies Dam Race this Saturday.

Last Sunday did not work for most of our busy schedules, plus the winds were very light (ask the racers). So Ladies we will try again this Sunday Oct 16 at 12:00 noon. The winds will be better this Sunday 7mph SW to 15 mph plus another nice sunny fall day around 68 degrees!
Who will win this year's Ladies Dam Race Trophy?? If you aren't racing come out and cheer our Lady racers to the dam and back!

Date changed from Saturday to Sunday.
---------------------------
This Sunday is our annual Ladies Dam Race!! Let’s meet at the “no-wake buoys” in front of the marina at 12:00 o'clock noon! We will sail to up to the dam area and back to the no-wake buoys in front of the marina. I will be sailing my Precision 18 “Sail La Vie!”. The first Lady Sailor who crosses the no-wake buoy wins a very nice trophy at the fall Awards Banquet this November. Only the ladies at the helm of their sailboat for the complete race! This is your day ladies to give your crew their orders! Sunday is going to be a beautiful warm fall day and the winds will only be around 6mph west blowing us toward the dam! Have your VHF radios turned on to channel 69.
Please send me a RSVP to dianejpaxton@yahoo.com if you can join our fun Ladies Dam Race this Sunday at 12:00!
After the Ladies Dam Race we will join the rest of our sail club members under the club tent around 3:30 for snacks and drinks. Bring something to share. Or some of us may decide to enjoy sailing the rest of the afternoon. We won't have too many more beautiful sailing weekends to enjoy :(
See everyone on the lake for a beautiful warm fall sailing weekend!
