Updated March 26:

Hi everyone,
thanks for the prompt response.
Park has managed to get their maintenance staff to auger the post holes but we have a backup auger available too.
The bathrooms are open & water is on at either bathroom, but not the marina office.
The Ranger will meet us there at 9 am.
Looks like we will have a great day
Please remember to bring something to use just in case , rake, broom?, loppers , other pruning tools.

Ben Craig will be bringing a van full of construction tools and Brownie will be bringing a generator and a couple other 'toys as well'!.

Looks like the weather will be better than today but cool and sunny on saturday. (good shoe and warm coat)

9 am at dock A and we will divide up the help there.

thanks everyone

Updated March 25:

We are on for a work party at the lake this Saturday. 9am.Meet in front of Dock A.
We will be doing 2 projects
1. Shoreline cleaning around launch ramp and the shoreline under the trees so successfully cleared in recent years by our previous efforts.
2. Move a large notice board with roof from Sterner Mill hiking area to the Marina office. Ben Craig will be bringing his expertise but we need to supply the manpower.

So we need a good showing as many hands make light work
I have had a few members promise to attend (thanks!) for some or all of the time (no later than 1 PM) but we will need more help so please try to get out for some of the time.

I will have plenty gloves but the ground is very soft so Good Foot Wear is a must!
Please bring along any hand pruning tools if you can , loppers , pruning saws etc. A couple of rakes and general clean up tools would help too. The Park will have some Loppers but sometimes these are not the best.

For the sign work we have 2 post holes to dig and Ben Craig will have some construction tools and we will have a couple of post hole hand tools. So gloves and strong backs is what we need!
We also need some tall folks to help with the sign moving (the roof is quite high!)

Weather is looking good , sunny and mild perfect weather to clear out the winter cobwebs with a little physical work!
Thanks every one. See you Saturday.

PS the Park will be doing an earth-day work day on the 17th April but this is a race day for us so if you are not racing they need help then too.

Updated March 10:

The sign to be moved.(currently in the Stern mill Hiking area) to marina office.
Ben Craig has agreed to help and bring his tools!
does not think it's a hard project!
we will be changing out the 4 x 4 for 6 x 6's

We are planning a couple of Projects with the park this spring, yes its coming!

Saturday March 27th,(~9-2) we would like to do a shore like clean up to maintain the work we have done in previous years. We had a great showing last year and i hope we can get a Double the showing this year!
Many hands make light work!

Meet at the rigging parking lot.

If we have enough help we would also like to start another project with the park which involves moving a large roofed sign from the Sterner Mill area to the Marina office. This is perfect for the excess testosterone types with large chain saws and a lot more importantly Carpentry/deck building types skills. If this is more your thing this is a project for you.(Or even if you'd just like to help with a Keystone Cops event!)

We will hold 3rd April as a Really bad weather rain date or finish up the sign date. This is our committee boat launch date too so it will be our first official weekend at the lake.

I welcome any comments or thoughts , if you can indicate if you might be available let me know but this is Volunteer work so any time you can spare however little will be gratefully received.

thanks a lot
see you then and on the 13th at the NSC warm up.
