Sail and Learn: Docking

Docking basic training.

This is to announce that this Saturday, June 5th, at 4:30 PM, we will have another Sail & Learn program.  This week’s Sail & Learn will be focuses on docking basics.  This program will take place on I-Dock, slip 19 in front of my Catalina Capri, Superna.  During this program we will go over the basic things you need to know in order to dock successfully on Lake Nockamixon.  We will consider use of bow lines, stern lines, spring lines, warp lines, doubling a line, wind effects, pivot points, turning arc, throttle speeds, standing turn with an outboard, backing out of a slip, parallel docking, and predocking preparations.  If you want to learn how to dock or improve your docking skills please plan to attend this Sail & Learn on docking basics.  Please bring whatever you would like to drink and food to share.  Please also bring a lawn chair.

This 'Sail and Learn' session presented by the Nockamixon Sail Club Crusing Fleet will be held under the NSC Club Tent located near the marina launch ramp parking.  Members of the general public are invited to join us.
