Water Cannon Fun Race
Mark Your Calendars! At 3:00 P.M. this Saturday, June 19, we will be hosting our first fun race of the season – the water cannon battle. If you’ve participated before, you know how much fun it can be, even amongst strangers. If you haven’t tried it, grab some weaponry, grab your kids or adults who act like kids (yes, the majority of participants have been adults), and be ready to cool off on the lake. (As of now the Saturday forecast is Mostly Sunny, High of 87… PERFECT!)
No water balloons permitted, but most any other water propelling device is legal. Ingenuity encouraged! Leave a towel and change of clothes in the car, close up the hatches and companionway, and prepare to get a little wet. I hate to give tactical info away, but to be fair, if you want to upgrade your dollar store water pistol to a cannon, there are some great items available from Cabellas, and also at Pelican Pool in Quakertown.
Please plan to meet in the parking lot between 2:45-3:00 for a quick rules discussion. We’ll then promptly head to our boats for a planned 1 hour battle where we’ll round a course consisting of a couple of marks. On the water look for my red Catalina 22 “Ebirah” to lead us. We’ll finish up in time for those of you wishing to attend the Tell Tales Training session at 4:30.
Any questions please let me know. Looking forward to seeing you there!
